PGRI Introduction: A most telling sign of the enduring relevance of retail: Amazon’s opening of land-based retail stores in 2015. Even Amazon, by far the most successful online merchant in the world, recognizes the value of land-based retail. A picture is emerging for how the landscape of B2C commerce will evolve; and it most definitely includes land-based retail. The successful merchants, and operators of games-of-chance, will all have multiple channels of distribution and communication with the consumer. Digital technologies, social networks, and application of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools will permeate the business of gaming, and consumer products marketing, and promise to breathe new life into the retail sector. Intralot’s operations in Oceania – 2014 will be an exciting year

INTRALOT is proud to be reaching a decade of successful operations in Oceania. Ever since it was awarded a New Zealand government contract in early 2005 to monitor all gaming machines in the country, INTRALOT has been successfully building its local brand in the Australian and New Zealand markets and is looking ahead to further expand its presence in the region.

INTRALOT started its Australian operations in 2007 with the award of one of the two lottery licenses on offer in the State of Victoria. The company started its lottery business primarily offering instant scratch tickets (‘scratchies’) and a number of online games, such as Bingo, Lucky 3, Lucky 5, Lucky Lines, and Keno (with a jackpot of AU$2 million on offer every day). Since July 2008, these same games have also been available in Tasmania through INTRALOT’s distribution channels of local retailers and newsagents. (more…)
